"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain." -Montell Jordan
have you ever heard a song and thought "how do they know exactly how i'm feeling?" i hadn't until i heard this new track by California based R&B artist Montell Jordan. i found this gem in a bargain bin of cassettes two days ago and threw all my other albums into a sewer that same day (although i did later go back for Flackaveli by Waka Flocka Flame and Freak for Life by Luther Campbell). this IS, absolutely, how we do it. i just found the soundtrack to the rest of my life and the song that i want played at my funeral for 75¢ AND TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY THE FUNERAL THING IS A 100000% SINCERE REQUEST. whether you're hitting the club, spending a quiet night in at home or whatever else you guys do with your dumb lives, keep this track on repeat and let MJ set the mood. consider this a head's up- swing by your local record store and hit up the bargain cassettes bin before someone else scoops up all the Montell.
10/10
update: someone just emailed me to tell me this song was actually released in 1995. he's even more ahead of his time than i originally though. my apologies for the error and my thanks to the asshole who sent that e-mail.
(p.s. if Montell Jordan is not your cup of tea because you're awful, you can probably still find my entire record collection minus Flakaveli and Freak For Life for free somewhere in the downtown Buffalo, NY sewers)
